So, I have been having a lot of trouble syncing various Wallets on some machines I have. In most cases it is a laptop that is having issues.

ie, bitcoin core will usually take 3-4 weeks to sync and only ever runs at 1-5% cpu power.

I just bumped up the priority in the task manager and it made all the world of difference.

Dogecoin was set up to above normal priority and it jumped up to using all the cpu and is flying now...

Bitcoin I had to set to high and even real time priority to make much difference, but it sure did.

Simple stupid solution to something that was making me pull my hair out! And this is only useful for syncing, once caught up there is no need for changing the CPU priority...

Note that if this process is successful at speeding up your wallet syncing, that your PC will probably become almost unusable until you close the wallet core... but your chain will sync!
