Greetings!

I have added one of my new findings and observations to the iNaturalis community. It is one type of grasshopper species.

**Xenocatantops** is a genus of grasshoppers ( Caelifera Acrididae ) in the subfamily *Catantopinae*, a group of insects classified in the family *Acrididae Genera* (grasshopper family) such as Macrotona. sometimes called "spur-throated grasshoppers, but the name is also used for grasshoppers from other subfamilies, including the genus Melanoplus from Melanoplinae.

Or by local names. This grasshopper is often called a leaf grasshopper, because they often reside or are found on plant leaves or it could be because of its green color like leaves.

There are so many types and species of grasshoppers with various differences. Starting from the size of the body to the color pattern.

This one has a small size, but sometimes there are also grasshoppers of this type with a larger size. In general, all grasshoppers have the same habits. They are eaters of leaves and young shoots of plants.

The platform allows users to upload photos or videos of plants, animals, and other organisms, which can then be identified by a community of other users. In addition, iNaturalist also has an automatic identification feature that uses computer vision to help identify species. |
