<div class="text-justify">  Hello, dear Hivers! We were exhilarated to rise upon seeing Mr. Sun appearing brightly. The moderate weather indicated goodness to travel, a perfect time to unlock another adventure and discover one more beautiful spot that nature offers us. I was invited by my close high school friend to have a weekend escapade to distress ourselves from swamped weekdays due to paperwork. Our itinerary this time will not be beaching, not strolling at the mall, and of course, we will not be dining in the elegant restaurant as it's not payday yet we are still out of budget. And who was excited? As always my travel buddy, Rixie Mae. Where will this trip go actually? Well then, this adventure goes to the very hidden paradisiacal beauty of Manghitawan Falls of Busogon, San Remigio, Cebu. In this blog, I'm going to share our 5 hours strenuous journey and be amused by the fascinating view of nature. I never expected this to happen. This was our first to be trekking between the two huge mountains together with my 8-year child only.   Heading to my friend's house was challenging due to the arduous road, and so bumpy. I need to be cautious because the sloping road will cause us accidents if we will not be careful. ---  **The specification of this hidden beautiful spot** <center>"*Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.- Zig Ziglar*</center> Our itinerary was between the two huge mountains and it was a 2-hour walk before reaching the untouched tourist spot. We will be trekking at the bottom part, covered with dense forest. Upon hearing this, mixed emotions were felt as this will be our first time to be experiencing this kind of situation. Although the place sounds to be shrouded with wonder, it cannot be denied that we got an overflowing excitement to explore and discover the wondrous nature. There were prohibitions from my friend such as saying, "Wow the scenery is beautiful!" Filipinos especially from the province were strongly influenced by different beliefs (sounds funny) but I never broke this taboo as there is nothing to lose if I believe though. --- **Let the adventurous journey begin** My close friend wasn't able to go with us due to some important reasons, thus we were obliged to hire a tourist guide who will lead us on our entire trip. <center>*The first river*</center>  <div class="pull-right">  </div> <div class="pull-left">  </div> This was the first crossed river. The Balete tree that had grown behind it keeps it cool and soothing to our eyes. If it rains heavily, the water overflows, and its strong current can sweep people away who try to cross the river. It is equipped with danger zone signage to always remind people to be careful in crossing it. <center>*Another tricky road*</center>   The challenge continued. Upon going to the mountain where the hidden waterfalls can be seen, another bumpy and tough path is to pass. It was not cemented nor filled with limestone. It was very slippery, thus, I was asking the tourist guide to drive the motorcycle for us. We need to hold on to him tightly because if we don't, we might be in danger. This was part of our challenge before reaching our goal.   We were mesmerized by the wonderful natural scenery of the place that enticed us after surpassing the toughest road. Nobody is residing nearby, it is perfect for relaxation, therapeutic and serene. The Kubo hut is used as a native rest house maybe by the owner of this vast field. I just can't believe what we have seen. We were in total awe! All we had uttered was "Wow" a never ending "Wow". <center>*The second river*</center>  <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> We were struggling in crossing this man-made river. It was too scary to look at because it is made of wood which is not very strong. This was our first time crossing this kind of improvised bridge, my legs were trembling as I'm an acrophobic person. We were assisted by our tour guide as we crossed to the edge. I was screaming inside of me as I did the crossing however I was having fun after all. <center>*What is hidden amidst the two huge mountains?*</center>  The superficial knowledge about the wonder of this nature from my friend was too shallow. As we started to immerse ourselves in nature, I got this feeling of contentment that no doubt, the greatest pleasure will be achieved after a thorough sacrifice and challenge. Upon our arrival in the area, we were welcomed by the marvelous green surroundings that were truly pure, natural and so cool to our eyes. We felt like we were in heaven at this moment. <div class="pull-right">  </div> <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> <div class="pull-left">  </div> The eagerness of my child to discover and explore this place that we have never visited yet pushed our motivation. She was energetic in walking the rocky road and was entertained by the chirping of the birds heard in every corner of the mountain. The temperature dropped, and the cool mountain breeze caressed our skin. We were allured by the magnificent beauty of the trees as we walked in the middle of it. <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> After an hour of trekking, we started to hear the cascading river, which brought us an awesome feeling. We were bewitched by the enchanting view of its wideness with an emerald-green color that captivated us to touch its clean clear water. In my entire life, this was the first time to have been experiencing this kind of everlasting scene. How beautiful this place is. It was incredible!  <div class="pull-right">  </div> <div class="pull-left">  </div>  The adventure never ended here. Somebody is waiting for us in solitude to be hypnotized by its splendid beauty that carried a magic spell. We continued trekking on the rocky path, my endurance and stamina were tested on this trip. The energy of my child was still full and was having fun looking at the flowing river. We were still excited even though we have walked too far already. <center>*The spellbinding loveliness of twin waterfalls*</center>  <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> After our joyful walk and the thrill of crossing the river, we finally reached and were surprised by the splendid view of the two waterfalls. Upon seeing them, an indescribable feeling suddenly hit us. It seemed like being hit by Cupid's arrow, we were hypnotized in an instant by its magnificent beauty. It was fantastic! The foamy water touching down the bottom part was so beautiful to look at. <div class="pull-right">  </div> <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> <div class="pull-left">  </div> We have spotted locals taking a plunge and enjoying the emerald-green clear water at its best. The untouched waterfalls are incredibly surrounded by evergreen and the perfectly carved limestone cliffs by nature behind them give additional vibrance to the place. The water is so cool and refreshing. Sad to say we weren't able to take a bath as we don't have extra clothes with us. Maybe next time.   Site seeing the natural green scenery and rejuvenating ourselves by gazing at the flowing water at the corner after our intensive journey was done afterward. This time, we felt exhausted and we took a 15-minute break before going home and breathed more oxygen from the trees around us. This journey made us hungry but we didn't bring anything to eat. Obviously, this was improperly planned. Something to eat is important in situations like this especially I have my child with me. This was a great lesson learned from this walk. ---  <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div>  I'm truly inspired by this journey as I was able to embrace the goodness that nature gives to human beings. After all, there was contentment as I immersed myself in nature. As this quote says, "**I firmly believe that nature brings solace in all troubles." Anne Frank**, I was able to achieve inner peace, and how delighted I was after this one-a-kind journey. Reconnecting with nature is beneficial to one's health. We can release our stress and detoxify ourselves and aside from this the bond that we had with my child becomes stronger and stronger due to the quality time being spent together. </div> [//]:# (!pinmapple 10.96037 lat 123.93098 long d3scr)
