By custom, and for centuries it has been considered that men are incapable of being kind and loving, that we are the possessors of strength and the providers of the home. It is said that because we are so tough, we are beings who do not have the capacity to give emotional support to our children. I don't like that the world around me doesn't allow me to be vulnerable. 

Precisely, the model of masculinity that I described above is the one that is promoted to future generations, I feel that we as men should show a positive masculine model.

I was raised by women, in a society dominated by machismo, a behavior that I really don't like and consider unacceptable. My mother, grandmother and aunts made me understand that both men and women have feelings and are capable of sustaining a home and making it grow spiritually.

Not being a rude person does not imply that I cannot defend myself in the face of injustices in life, many times I have faced arguments with other people and I have made my point of view more assertive than with brute force with words. Of course, it would be very foolish to say that I have not used brute force in certain cases, but this has happened very few times in my life.

As far as I am concerned, I get emotional when I see or read a love story, listen to a ballad that brings back memories, when I see a photograph of a loved one who is no longer with me, or is already in a spiritual plane. If I have to cry at a situation that causes me indignation I do it, I am kind and affectionate with people, and I think cheese does not detract from my masculinity.

The problem comes in how a society that thinks that the fact of being male implies treating the female gender with contempt, not recognizing that a woman is as valuable as a man, comes to see you.

I do not like gender violence between men and women, I do not understand why a man can mistreat a woman physically or verbally, every human being comes from a woman, so these are the most sacred thing that exists in this world.

As men we can also be affectionate, reliable, we are beings capable of showing feelings, and this does not imply that we are weak of character.


Men also suffer and cry and even we do not escape from vulnerability on many occasions, whoever says otherwise is a big liar, I do not like that label that stigmatizes us and does not allow us to show our feelings.
