Hello peeps - Neil here... or as I call myself 'CryptoNoob'. I know nothing about it
Good morning, afternoon, evening where ever you are you awesome group of people

I've had this Steemit account for a while but never really introduced myself. Guess I thought no one would really care who I am. So apologies. However I do think I have a lot of thoughts that I'd like to get out there unfiltered... and hopefully learn something in return.

So I'm Neil, in my late 30's, living in the UK. I'm Indian by heritage (love a curry and can cook a mean one too). Married to my best friend and have 2 amazing daughters. Ones 2 year 4 months, and the younger one is only 18 days old!

I'm a User Experience architect by trade. and have been doing this since the early 2000s when it wasn't even called UX.

I got into crypto currencies in June this year. I'd heard about bitcoin in 2010 and took no notice of it (idiot - part1) and then again in 2013. There was this article on the bbc website (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-24737671) about this guy who bought $22 worth of bitcoin for a university study or research or something like that. A few years realising that it was worth $800k. Bitcoin was worth £200 at the time and I was SOOOOOOOOOO close to buying a few. I had a bit of spare cash at the time; I didn't have kids :) But I though it was a bubble and I'd lose all my money (idiot - part 2). And then It was June when someone at work had mentioned they had bought a few alt coins. Alt coins? I said. I got a coinbase and a bittrex account and bought 25 Litecoin at about $16 each, and saw that almost instantly climb to about $45, sold a few into neo saw that rise and fall ... long story short $400 converted to multiple X times now. I basically watch a lot of Suppoman, VincentB, Cryptoverse, Boxming and a few other.

Whats my goal with Crypto... pay off my mortgage ASAP. I'm a slave to society and have a sizeable mortgage. My dream is to ride one of the altcoin waves and pay of my mortgage, just so that I can spend more time with the family. I feel like I've missed out SO much on my older daughters 2+ years that I don't want to do that any more.

What else would I like to do... travel. Have enough resources to travel the world, see places, broaden my mind. Help my kids see and learn things that took me so long to see. A cherry blossom at the foot hills of mount Fuji, Tigers in their natural habitat in India, Trek to the North pole? may be not. but there is so much I want to do. You only get one life right? Why waste it behind a computer.

So who am I...

My hobbies other than crypto (not sure if its a hobby or obsession) is photography. If I did make a million on crypto , other than the house and putting money aside for the family, I'd spend a lot on camera equipment.

I've been through a few phases of photography, from studio, to portraits, to landscapes to night cityscapes and of course my kids. A few random ones

Anyway, hope you like these, always open to critiques.

So that's my introduction. Hoping to make connections, friends, have a few good discussions and live life to the fullest.

Peace,
Neil!
