### What is Utopian.IO
Utopian.IO is a revolutionary way to contribute funds directly to contributors of open source repositories hosted on Github. It provides a platform for developers to submit contributions that will be moderated and then upvoted by the @utopian-io account. This account currently has 3.7+ Million SP available for voting; making it possible for contributors to make some real earnings through the platform.

In the past, it was a pain to encourage open source development, because those that have the knowledge usually have to work a full time job and are way too exhausted after programming all day to go home and continue it. With Utopian.IO, that is no longer an issue due to the increased incentive to participate. Maybe we will even see more and more developers find the freedom to **quit their job and work from home full time.**

The developer rewards pool has been doubled, allowing for higher payouts for contributors to that category. This move was done to better help distribute the available rewards from the utopian account to the areas that are in need of more focus.

- Next, click the blue Contribution button
- Select the Development category
- Read the Rules and click Proceed when ready.
