<div class=text-justify>As the new year begins, I find myself once again turning my attention to my land assets in the Splinterlands ecosystem. The journey has been anything but linear, especially after last year's disappointing delays with land development. However, with the approach of version 1.75, my enthusiasm has reignited, and I’m diving back into preparations for the exciting changes ahead.<p>

Land has always represented a cornerstone of potential within Splinterlands for me. It holds the promise of evolving gameplay and deepening the economy through resource production, offering pathways for players to establish thriving in-game businesses. Despite ongoing challenges—such as supply and demand imbalances that have depressed asset values—I remain convinced that land will become the backbone of the Splinterlands economy.

The past year saw a pause in my land-focused efforts, largely due to uncertainty surrounding fresh fund allocation. The game has been expanding at a rapid pace, with new card sets like Rebellion shaking up the meta and diverting attention. Balancing these developments with land preparation has been a tricky task.

Preparing for Land 1.75

As I gear up for the release of version 1.75, my priorities have shifted back to ensuring my land plots are optimized for production. While all of my plots are active, just over 50% currently have all card slots filled. To me, this represents untapped potential, and filling these slots will be a key focus moving forward.

Another priority is bolstering my DEC stake. DEC remains a vital resource for sustaining and expanding land production, but acquiring it in meaningful quantities has become increasingly difficult. Adding to this challenge is my decision to refrain from injecting fresh funds into the ecosystem, opting instead to work strategically with my existing assets.

The Bigger Picture

I see land as more than just a resource-generating tool; it’s a gateway to new possibilities in the game’s economy. With Splinterlands continuing to innovate, I anticipate that land will play an integral role in shaping how players engage with the ecosystem. The strategic decisions I make now—whether it's acquiring more cards, adding to my DEC reserves, or finding new ways to optimize production—will hopefully position me to capitalize on this evolution.

While the road ahead is uncertain, the potential is undeniable. Land is where my focus lies as I step into 2025 with a renewed sense of purpose. It’s a journey that will require patience, strategy, and perhaps some calculated risks, but I’m ready to see where it takes me.
