The altcoin market has been hurting most of the week as volatility has continued.  As expected, the correlation between price and engagement continues.  I see it as an opportunity to become more active and take advantage to grow our stakes and to become more present as there are less competing users which could lead to you next big follow.  While I have been looking to slow down a bit to focus on a number of things I am dealing with, I have felt the need to become more active.<p>

It has also had an impact on the new users coming to the platform as I have continued to search the introductions carefully and continue to see declines relative to just a couple of weeks ago.  Despite more opportunities from communities to onboard users with account creations, it has been a slow grind to get traction from them although I continue to increasingly see introduction posts related to some of these communities.  The new tribes have also brought a renewed interest in introductions as it allows is to focus on certain communities.  Therefore, in the coming weeks I will start to incorporate some of these posts to my curation efforts.

@ladywalker is one of the members of the SteemAce community which made an [introduction](https://staging.busy.org/@ladywalker/who-is-steemace-admin-ladywalker) to share some information about him.  He currently lives in Germany and has worked on websites and IT security for some time now.  His journey started with interest in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.  In joining the ecosystem, he is looking for an opportunity to combine his interests and experiences in gaming to provide a community to do so here on Steem.

@glomm recently made his [introduction](https://staging.busy.org/@glomm/hello-steemian-s-i-glomm-have-joined-you) by sharing some thoughts from posts he previously made on the Minds ecosystem.  As he searched for decentralized social media options, he ran into Steem and has landed here to share some of his thoughts.  His main purpose is to find better alternatives to the centralized websites in order to freely share his thoughts and experiences.

@run.kirsty.run is a [new](https://busy.org/@run.kirsty.run/introduce-myself) Steemian from Auckland which plans to share here experiences on training for running and racing which continues to be a growing community here thanks to projects like @actifit.  She is also a Psychology teacher which is probably a grrat way to not train the body but also the mind for these types of fitness events!

@hyborian-strain is a new user that was interested in playing games that are here on the blockchain and jumped immediately onboard with an account from Steem Ninja.  Now his [introduction](https://busy.org/@hyborian-strain/hyborian-strain-introductory-post) explains how he believes that gaming is just the beginning to attracted more communities to the ecosystem.  He is actively participating in the game Next Colony and seeks to work with also expanding the experience by writing fiction as well.

I hope this to be an evolving process to the benefit of the community so please continue providing feedback to support these and all the new users coming to the platform.  I am looking forward to more new users coming and engaging with the community to solidify the social aspect of the #STEEM blockchain.
