The year 2023 has been a great year for me, no doubt. I’ve had my good days and bad days. There were days I didn’t even know what I was doing but I’m glad I had people standing by it through it all.

At the start of the year, I didn’t really know how my year was going to be but I was optimistic that it was going to be great. I made so many memories in 2023, both bad and good. I remember how I faced struggles during one of my exams. Well, I couldn’t do anything about it other than learning to adjust and bounce back and I did just that. That was just by the way. I wouldn’t want to share my bad memories with you all today cos I don’t want to keep looking back. I’ve learnt my lessons from them and made my peace. Now, let’s have those good memories…….

The first great memory I would like to share with you all is when I got the opportunity to do what I love doing. I’m actually a Jack of all trades but one thing that keeps me going is making an impact in my society and actually see its effects on my people. Last year, I got the opportunity to lead a group of like-minded individuals in various aspects of community development in order to create the change we wanted to see. I wanted my impact to be felt and at the end of the day, our efforts didn’t go to waste. Through our hard-work and dedication I was able to take my team to the national competition and return back with the national championship title for the third time in a row. I wouldn’t lie, this was a great win for me and my team and I’m really proud of myself for being able to pull this off.

Being the person that I am, I keep a very small circle of friends. Lasts year, one of my unforgettable memories is getting to spend time with my family and friends. Even though I’ve been away from my family for most part of the year. I still made sure to visit when I could. Keep in touch with them through phone calls, texts and videos chats and I also did same with my friends who are far away from me. I accept that I’m very terrible at keeping in touch but I am trying to be better.

As the year began, I made a promise to myself to open up and make more friends. Not just friends, but friends who will have a positive impact on my life. Looking back, I have come to realize that I did just that. I met so many amazing people this year who mean a lot to me even though we met for just a short while now. I can feel their impact in my life and I know that I am going to have a great year with these new friends I have in my life.

The last memory I would like to share with you all is the part of my year where I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and my numerous adventures. I didn’t expect my final year graduation to come this fast but I guess four years wasn’t that long. I really struggled a lot in final year as I had a lot to handle but I still made it to the end and was able to graduate before the year ended. Surprisingly, my family took my graduation more serious than I did and they showed up in their numbers even with the 16 hours distance and I feel really blessed to have a supportive family.

Also, how could I forget my numerous adventurous trips. As you might already know, I’m an adventurous young lady and anything that would have me pumped up, I’m in for it. Last year, I got the opportunity to travel a lot with my friends and also make good memories. It was really amazing doing all those crazy stuff with people I couldn’t relate with and I would say that I’m very happy I went on those adventures.
