We've seen Defi, then gameFi. The next possibility is socialFi.

A lot of people talk about this on twitter every day. They think it could be the next big thing.

They don't realize that a lot of us have been living this for the past few years already and know how the game works.

**Hive: Where your account is your wallet.**

Imagine this happening on any of the traditional social sites. Looking at how much Beyoncé earns on twitter or Kylie Jenner earns per Instagram post. That they give out $50 tips to their followers and use their Facebook account as their personal bank balance.

Sounds a bit crazy doesn't it. 

That's why it would be so hard for the general public to comprehend this new world. Or for traditional sites to integrate these settings into their pages.

It's too far removed what is already there to just happen overnight and throws up too many problems.

I don't see the facebook board of directors or shareholders being too happy is they decided to share out ad revenue among all of their users. Actually reward them for using the site instead of using them for profit.

It would be a huge change.

Again, we are already there. I was listening to the 3speak team on twitter earlier and they are talking about being able to create communities in seconds with easy onboarding and link it to a token for free.

We are so far ahead of the curve right now that they are not even in the right conversation. They are trying to understand problems that have already been solved.

It's a good position to be in for our community but this won't last for much longer. The big companies will throw enough money at the problem to start catching up sooner rather than later. Hopefully we can stay ahead of the curve until we are ready for large numbers but it's an arms race at the moment. We're in front but they are going to gain ground fast.


That is why your account is much more than just the wallet.

If a board member wanted to buy 1M hive and start making decisions it wouldn't take them very far. We saw it on a larger scale with Justin Sun but even on a smaller scale your account is so much more than a number.

It's your name, your brand, your commitment to the chain all rolled into one.

The reason that we vote for the witnesses that we do is because we recognize their name and see what they have done for the community.

The reason that the larger accounts have grown to this level is because they get the votes. Votes that a new user wouldn't et and lose their advantage very fast.

Most of the major players have been here for years, building and stacking. Making connections and learning the rules. It's the combination of all of these things that makes up your account and your identity within the community. That is more important than the number of hive that you own.

It's the factor behind your success.
