## As I felt the need and had the time to improve my place a little bit, I went to my father's house. Just found that nice piece of wood. Cherry wood cut about 10 years ago. Yeah, I have this kind of daddy that keep stuff away thinking ''Yeah, I might do something with this'' and it just sits there being a treasure to be found that come right into my hand. Once again :)  # Almost ready to be transform That piece was right, but only some hand sanding paper, threw it made it the way I want it. I wanted to keep the look right, but have a smooth touch. So some hand sanding with a 100 grain sandpaper, and a 220 grain make it ready to be treated. ) # Simple Treatment I treated with simple Tung 'N Teak oil to get the knots revel in the wood, about two layers were enough to give a nice look.  # Then the final touch Varnish always been the last touch of wood crafting, in this case I did use simple clear gloss urethane varnish. If it would have been a log wood piece worked from the sea, I would opt more for an epoxy finish, but in this case I guess was to try to keep it simple.  # At the end It creates a nice nest for Mr. Basilic, it was smelling varnish in my apartment for a few days at the point of having a headache one morning.... Maybe cause I hang out with steemians friends a little too late too, but all together, I had to spend a few time outside to get rid the feeling. Another creation took place at the same time like my shelving for my brewing setup, which I will post shortly when I will receive the missing part.  <center>  </center>
