Telos EVM is the most powerful and scalable Ethereum smart contract platform! One out of the six highlights of Telos EVM is that they created a no-front-running system in all of their transactions! Now, you may wonder how this has been possible. But first, let us understand what **Front-Running** means.

### What is Front-Running?

Let us understand that Front-running and Mining have the same effect - stealing assets from trades - but they somehow differ in their method of siphoning profits from transactions. **Front-Running** is the method when bots offer high gas fees to jump to the queue and place their transactions ahead of others. While **mining** is when *miners perform the front-running* by inserting their transactions ahead of others while paying only minimal gas fees or they call it the **MEV** or **Miner Extracted/Extractable Value**. 

It has been like a bribe-or-be-robbed system and is mostly experienced in Ethereum-based chains. Although this has been an industry-wide problem, few people talked about it let alone boldly made a move to eliminate it. And that is the frustrating reality! But all these has been solved when Telos EVM came! 

### How Does Telos Outruns Front-Running?

Completely avoiding the chances of front-running is one bold move that only Telos has done all across the crypto-verse. There are three (3) significant actions Telos had made to drive these bots and miners away.

1. **Telos established a fixed-rate gas fee**. By doing so, all transactions on Telos EVM prohibits front-running. How so? Bots and other traders can’t jump ahead with higher fees because everyone is paying the same! No one can jump ahead of another person by offering a higher fee.

2. **Telos EVM is extremely fast with up to 10 transactions per second and 2 new blocks per second.** That only leaves a very slim chance for bots to scan any valuable trades in the mempool.

3. **Telos is community-governed!** This is one of the great assets of Telos - ***its community***. The blockchain has clear rules and penalties for its validators and block producers. The first-In-First-Out system has to be followed by each Telos’ block producer, too. They cannot reorder transactions for profit since they must process transactions in chronological order eliminating the bribing system that is rampant in most chains.
