The Meghna River is one of the three biggest streams in Bangladesh. It's the downstream of combined streams of two others biggest waterways the Padma and the Jamuna lastly meet with the Bay of Bengal. 

Meghna is strengthened by the Dhaleshwari before Chandpur too. The name for the biggest distributary of the Ganges in Bangladesh is the Padma waterway.
