Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you're all well. Every time it rains, especially when it's accompanied by a storm, I'm honestly always afraid. Something makes me sleep uncomfortably and I'm afraid my house will collapse. Actually, at first, the rain can be quite fun. I used to play in the rain a lot. It felt fun.

When my house was being renovated, my two younger siblings and I had fun playing in the rain, which is what made it so fun. But when a storm comes, all the fun disappears. Yes, it disappears. Indonesia isn't a country prone to hurricanes. But rain accompanied by strong winds can be terrifying. I still vividly remember my childhood memories.

My house wasn't a tidy one. Some parts, even after renovations, still leaked. In fact, during strong rains, some roof tiles would fly off in the area around my house. That's what scared me, too. What did I do when that happened?

When I was little, when the rain became scary, my mother and I would invite her children to pray. I asked God for help to keep our house safe from the raging rain. As long as the rain persisted, I always prayed for this. Especially when tense times occurred, such as power outages.

When the power went out and a thunderstorm struck, my mother always prepared us to run and leave the house to seek safer shelter. Tense days occurred throughout the rainy season. Those are my childhood memories of when the rain came.

This carries over to this day. When the rain began to turn raging, I was immediately afraid. Even though the place I lived in was the safest place. The house was sturdy and secure. But, subconsciously, I was always afraid. That's all I can tell you. What's your story?
