## Keep On Keepin' On...
#### Yesterday on Twitter, I saw someone make a comment that since #Hive was down in price, they were not going to create any content for it, considering it a waste of time. They were also complaining about the apparent lack of upvotes they were receiving on their posts in the same Tweet. When I read it, I wanted to comment something about loyalty, but instead, I just filed it away, and today, I wanted to give you my opinion on it.
## First...
#### The first thought I had about the Tweet was that the person writing it must be new to Hive. I could have done some research and found out, but honestly, it was not that important. The point is that the recent surge in Hive price is just that, recent. Looking at the chart, it is easy to see that Hive only reached one dollar for the first time on November 14th, 2021. Of course, in typical crypto fashion, it then shot up to almost three dollars. I am guessing the person who wrote the Tweet got in right around that time. 
## Reasoning...
#### Anyone who has been here for any amount of time knows that Hive is about so much more than just financial opportunity. Number one, the decentralized nature of the platform all but ensures that a person can write about or create content about any subject they want to. The only thing that prevents a person from gaining a following here is the #community itself. If you create garbage content, you will not get followed - simple. A self-policing community of content creators - what a concept, right? 
## Catharsis
 #### More important to some people than the anti-censorship issue is the valve Hive provides for creative outflow. For a lot of people, myself included, this time we are living in has made people feel alone and depressed. Covid and the related measures, no matter how you feel about them, have created mental health problems for a lot of people. Being able to vent by writing, or creating content and art, has more value to me than money, or being censored. Do not get me wrong, the whole freedom of speech thing is very important, but does not matter if I am so depressed and alone I do not reach out to anyone, right?
## Goals...
#### If you have been reading my posts, then you know I have set the goal of getting the monthly #HiveBuzz posting badge. I am about halfway through right now and when I read that Tweet, I thought to myself, what if I just quit writing because the Hive price is down? I guess that comes down to one simple question, do you have faith in Hive? I personally do. So I will continue to post, not only to earn that badge, but also as a release. Maybe this post will go out on the interwebs and only earn a few pennies. Does that matter to me? Not as much as the act of writing, honestly. But the truth is, heartfelt posts tend to do well here, and charts go up and down...
## Side - Note
#### I was on [Coin Market Cap](https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/hive-blockchain/) yesterday reading the comments, and I saw a familiar name there. @nathanmars had made some comments there relating to Hive and it was then that I realized, there are a lot of people out there with faith in Hive. I am not alone. What made it hilarious to me was the *ONE* guy in the comment thread that was trashing Hive. It was obvious he had issues, whether it is Tron or banishment from the community for being an idiot, I do not know, but it was obvious. For me, it just gave me more faith in Hive...
