***Pick a side*** I've been going through posts written by top-ranking members of the Korean community on the move to HIVE. It seems more of sober reflections for them. I find it hard to understand why this move bothers them at all because clearly, they chose a side; they chose to capitalize on a bad situation by making outrageous demands (I remember that silly posts very well). Now more than ever, they have the opportunity to get all they ever wanted; now they have the unique opportunity of creating a steem blockchain they want. Certainly, this huge exodus will have a huge impact on their investment, rightly so but if indeed they care about steem they should be able to salvage the situation. How hard is it to get new developers to support a scandalous project? How hard is it to run a witness server? How hard is it to convince people who don't look like you to join your platform? Certainly, this isn't too difficult a thing to handle given Justin's wealth and influence in the crypto space. ***Pick a side.*** It all started here on steem for me, but it doesn't have to end here--it certainly won't. Chances are I stop using the chain totally on Friday. I will take my chances with 30 developers and a community of individuals who share my interests rather than a centralized blockchain with Justin at the top. It is simply a game of interest. It's not about making enemies, although this whole event has had me questioning the integrity of a lot of individuals, who I think won't be moving to the new project--HIVE, at least to save face. The thing is that they chose a side; they made a decision and they should live with it. It's pointless shifting camps at this critical stage because you would only look like hypocrisy. I think we will find out in a couple of weeks that a lot of people don't care so much about how they look. I wish the steem community all the best. For those who choose to stay back and improve the blockchain, good luck to you guys. At this point, I think I will discontinue posting here from Friday. I think the community--those who fought for decentralization and the security of steem should make a strong and bold statement. No point sitting on the fence. Pick a side.
