C'mon, who's your brandaddy?
Another fresh catch of the day. This is a recipe from my chef, merluzzo di vicentina, which is basically a sort of italian brandade hailing from Vicenza in Italy.

This dish is a traditional recipe that consists of cod that's been stewed with milk, potatoes, onions and garlic until it cooks down to a thickish consistency. It's incredibly rich and delicious, perfect if you like cod and it's cold as heck outside (which in Montreal it is.) 

I served this with an arugula salad, crostinis, house shaved parmesan and a chapelure of lemon zest, orange zest, garlic and chives on top of the brandade. Bro, so good.

Also, no I'm not ashamed of my terribly punny title.
