The Difference Between HDD and SSD!!
As I was Sitting in IT today we were revising some work from last year and then we came upon Hard drives and Solid State Drives, I have since then Compiled most of the differences that I recall and then some extra info that I found on the Internet:

----------

|Solid State Drive |Hard Drive |
|--|--|
|Electronic |Mechanical |
|No Moving Parts |Has Moving Parts |
|uses less Power than a Hard Drive |uses more Power than a SSD |
|Way More Expensive |Less expensive |
|Much Faster than a Hard Drive |Slower than a SSD |
|Storage Capacity is Generally smaller |Storage is a bit Larger |
|Little Time to Boot |Substantially longer to Boot |
|Write speeds are **WAY** faster |Slow compared to SSD |
|A magnet can not effect the SSD |Magnets can lead to lost Data |

WHY WOULD YOU CHOOSE AN SSD?
 --------

 - If you are willing to pay for performance then this would be the perfect choice for you!!
 - If you don't mind having limited storage space then this is for sure a good option!

----------
WHY WOULD YOU CHOOSE A HARD DRIVE?
-------

 - If you want more Storage Space
 - If you are limited on Funds
 - If you Don't really care to much for booting speeds or how fast something opens

----------
When I was peaking about an HDD having 'Moving Parts', it actually does, its kinda like a pen that then writes on the ribbon to store the data there, whereas a SSD uses a lot of Different little chips to store the Data. The process which an SSD uses is called [EEPROM:](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EEPROM)

> EEPROM stands for electrically erasable programmable read-only memory and is a type of non-volatile memory used in computers and other electronic devices to store relatively small amounts of data but allowing individual bytes to be erased and reprogrammed.

(non-volatile means that as soon as the computer is shut down... the data is stored in **STORAGE**, if it was volatile the every time you would shut the computer off... the Data will be erased from the **Memory or RAM**)

***Lets Just say that because I actually remembered most of this stuff, I would probably remember it in the test, hopefully!!! XD XD XD***
