A friend of mine and colleague were at a restaurant for lunch.

My Birma native speaking friend owe the restaurant but gets quite a few foreign customers...

So she always asks me about how to improve her English.

I also try to teach her one new phrase each time I visit. So when I paid, I said:

"Whaduiohyu?"

(That's what it sounded like to her.)

"Whuh... doo...?" she replied slowly, trying to sound out what I asked.

So I repeated myself more clearly:

"What do I owe YOU?"

"Oh!" she said. "That's a new phrase for me!"

This is something natives say when paying for a meal or other service, but don't know the price. Owing money is like a loan you need to pay. You can also owe someone a favor.
  
New phrases are usually difficult because the words are blended together.

So if you know the simple trick for blending...

You also know how to "unblend" phrases to understand natives more easily, and sound more native yourself!

My friend only had a moment at the register because she had many customers...

So I quickly showed her the simple rule for blending - and "unblending" - sounds...

And in a snap (very quickly), she could say "What do I owe you?" like a native!

This technique really needs to be seen and heard, so if you'd like to learn it yourself to transform the way you speak in about 5 minutes...

Non-natives have "thick" accents because they say too much...

So remove what you don't need from phrases with one simple trick, and speaking becomes a LOT more comfortable.
