# Bitcoin, BTC, up to 8900 
**By the end of 2018 we could witness a bull market, according mister Novogratz. A very succesfull speculant expects investors moving in. Even pension funds entering the Cryptos realm. Where Bitcoin, BTC, is going to be the first and most important, he thinks. Partly because of the brandname it has. And I agree on his vision that BTC functions as a storage of value. Although the second layer, the lightning network, really proves it works as a peer to peer electronic cash, the mainchain is the digital equivalent to gold.** 

The advantage being that it is easier to carry the private key of 5 Bitcoin, than one kilo of gold. Now it looks like the lightning network really has its value backed by the digital equivalence of gold in a way. This might help the adoption of Bitcoin, BTC, its second layer even more as a fast and cheap transaction system. Just like web3.0 Cryptos are getting more popular, where blockchains like Ethereum, EOS and of course Steem are going to decentralize everything. 

The future is bright, the future is Crypto. Succesfull Crypto speculator Mike Novogratz explains in the shared video clearly why he thinks so. One downside to the video is the CNBC propaganda for (c)ripple, their sponsor, I guess. But mister Novogratz seems unimpressed, so then the subject quickly moves over to _pot_ investments. Which he expects to become a big market in about 5 years. 

All in all a good news video for all Cryptos out there. Mister Novogratz does not consider himself a Bitcoin maximalist. And expects other Cryptos to do well over time too. Something I do agree with. In the near future the market is going to adopt Web 3.0, the next level, full dectralization. The next generation will adopt it as they are used to the digital realm being something tje grew up with. To them using dApp blockchains like EOS and Steem will feel natural. That is where the next gen bulls will go for.
