Every time you upvote something on Steemit your Voting Power decreases by 2% 

You maximize the reward you give and receive if your Voting Power is at 100% 

In order to maximize your reward you want to stay between 80-100 % Voting Power by only Voting 5-10 times a day.

If you have $100 in Steem Power your reward will be about 1 cent per upvote.... if you have $1,000 in Steem Power your reward will be about 10 cents per upvote.

So try to only upvote 5-10 of the very best Original content posts a day and let your Steem Voting Power recover back to 100 % 

Also, when you upvote a post if you do it 15-30 minutes after the post was made you share 50/50 rewards with the author. If you wait and upvote after 30 minutes you share 99 % of the rewards with the other curators.... If you vote within the first 15 minutes the author earns most of the reward you give.
