Es la versión de la cervecería Peregrina de este estilo tan poco accesible en mi país.

Hoy ha sido un día de esos en los que piensas que nunca acabarán las cosas por hacer y los lugares a donde ir, y al ritmo que marca una ciudad caótica pero hermosa en Venezuela. Todo marcha según lo previsto, pero tantas vueltas por la ciudad generan la necesidad de meditar y respirar para poder tener ese impulso extra para lograr todas las metas trazadas para hoy. Algunas personas hacen la siesta, otras meditan... Hoy, he decidido tomarme una cerveza bien fría para obtener ese impulso extra que necesito. 

Busco la tienda de licores más cercana y pregunto por las cervezas que tienen, me mencionan un par de marcas y ninguna me llama la atención, así que sigo buscando entre botellas, hasta que en el fondo la veo, y ella me ve, nos miramos… Es la Viena Lager!

Decido llevarla a casa y disfrutarla lo más rápido posible, porque me la merezco, porque hace calor y porque aún hay cosas por hacer. Incluyendo esta presentación del amor y de la justicia cervecera. 

Así que, listos o no, ahí les voy:

Today has been one of those days when you think there will never be an end to the things to do and places to go, and at the pace that marks a chaotic but beautiful city in Venezuela. Everything is going according to plan, but so many turns around the city generate the need to meditate and breathe in order to have that extra boost to achieve all the goals set for today. Some people take a nap, others meditate? Today, I decide to have a cold beer to get that extra boost I need. 

I look for the nearest liquor store and ask about the beers they have, they mention a couple of brands and none of them catches my attention, so I keep looking through bottles, until in the background I see it, and she sees me, we look at each other... It's the Vienna Lager!

I decide to take it home and enjoy it as quickly as possible, because I deserve it, because it's hot and because there are still things to do. Including this presentation of love and brewing justice. 

So, ready or not, here I come:

La cervecería Peregrina es una de las cervecerías artesanales más grandes del país y la que tiene mayor presencia comercial en muchos puntos de la geografía nacional, tanto así que no hace falta ir a tiendas de licores especializadas para poder encontrarse con algún estilo de su catálogo. El equipo de vendedores y de marketing ha hecho un buen trabajo al posicionar la marca y hacerla accesible a muchos venezolanos.

Su planta hermosa, se encuentra en el estado Aragua y tiene dentro de su catálogo 6 estilos de cerveza, incluyendo esta Vienna Lager. En sus instalaciones puedes apreciar los fermentadores enormes que poseen, sus maquinarias y conocer un poco más de la irreverencia que ellos profesan en sus cervezas, eso si, sin alejarse de la calidad y característica de cada estilo.

Peregrina brewery is one of the largest craft breweries in the country and the one with the largest commercial presence in many parts of the country, so much so that it is not necessary to go to specialized liquor stores to be able to find a style from its catalog. The sales and marketing team has done a good job in positioning the brand and making it accessible to many Venezuelans.

Their beautiful plant is located in the state of Aragua and has 6 styles of beer in its catalog, including this Vienna Lager. In their facilities you can appreciate the huge fermenters they have, their machinery and learn a little more about the irreverence that they profess in their beers, without departing from the quality and characteristics of each style.

Es que la Viena me ha sorprendido gratamente, estaba buscando algo de presencia muy dulce como en otras cervezas de la rama, pero esta es muy fiel a su definición y bastante equilibrada en sus características, además de tener un toque sumamente refrescante que era lo que más necesitaba en ese momento, destacando también unos potentes 6 grados de alcohol para darle aún más carácter a esta hermosura!

Su espuma es blanquecina y persistente, tiene notas amargas pero no muy fuertes, se siente el sabor a granos de la malta, que se agradece y te alegra el alma, así como un ligero aroma al tostado del grano.

The Vienna has pleasantly surprised me, I was looking for something with a very sweet presence as in other beers of the branch, but this one is very faithful to its definition and quite balanced in its characteristics, besides having a very refreshing touch that was what I needed the most at that moment, highlighting also a powerful 6 degrees of alcohol to give even more character to this beauty!

Its foam is whitish and persistent, has bitter notes but not very strong, you can feel the taste of malt grains, which is appreciated and gladdens the soul, as well as a slight aroma of roasted grain.

Su presentación es de 255ml y cabe destacar que es una de las pocas cervezas artesanales venezolanas (por no decir la única) que tiene diseño en sus chapas.

En conclusión es una cerveza adaptada al paladar tropical venezolano, con un carácter y cuerpo bastante definidos, que no deja de ser refrescante y que en este caso, me ayudó a terminar la jornada con bastante alegría y productividad!
