Watch for "help ministries" cloaked as relationships. A relationship is a two-way street: both parties give and both parties receive. If just one person is giving all the time without the other party reciprocating, the giving party will burn out in no time. Be mindful of what your intentions are before going into any relationship. If you go with the mentality to exploit and receive, you can be very sure it won't last because sooner or later, the other person will know he or she is being taken for granted. Do not allow people around you (friends, family, relatives, etc.) sidetrack you from God’s will for your marital life. Above every other voice, listen to GOD! This was stressed earlier on too. # 9 A successful relationship is between two forgivers. It was said that the best relationship is between a blind husband and a deaf wife. You both must be willing to always forgive if love was truly the basis of your relationship. You will always hurt each other, intentionally or unintentionally. You cannot avoid arguments and fights but you should always remember why you were in the relationship in the first place. >Proverbs 19:11 (NIV): A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense An unforgiving attitude will poison your relational well. # 10 The safety of a relationship is sure when the man hears and obeys God. The Bible says the man is the head, meaning he should lead and receive instructions from God. They should deliberate together and of course take advice from the wife but he should be the shield for his home. As a believer, a man should hear from God and learn to obey Him. Imagine if Abraham had told Sarah God asked him to sacrifice their only son, whom they got after years of waiting! >Ephesians 5:25 (NIV): Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her **...THE END...** --- Thank you for your time. --- **My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.** *Still me*, >My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer. **Olawalium**; (**Love's chemical content, in human form**). *Take a dose today: doctor's order.*
