They didn't give their fans any reason to be optimistic especially after losing to newly-promoted Brentford. Brentford played their game to perfection and you cannot take anything away from the victory for Brentford. It was a perfect introduction into the Premier League and this is a sign of what's to come from the newcomers and hopefully, not the sign of a turbulent season to come for Arsenal. Arsenal has it all to play for in this new season because they are out of the Champions League and the Europa League. They even missed out on the Europa Conference League, so they have all the time to rest, recuperate in time before the next game as they have just the League, F.A Cup and the Capital One Cup to play for. The expectations of the fan would surely increase because they would expect better this season. Brentford gave the Leeds vibes and they showed they won't go back to the championship without a fight and with such a spirited performance, you can be sure they would cause a few problems for any team who wants to underrated them. The Premier League is back with the twists and turns and this is just the start of so many upsets to come in the League. Brentford got their first ever goal in the Premier League in the 22nd minute by Canos when a long ball from the goalkeeper initiated the threat. The effort was eventually cleared but Canos gathered it at the side of the box, drove into the box and beat the goalkeeper at his near post. It was a brilliant goal to launch their Premier League status and duly deserved. The stadium rocked and the Arsenal fans knew they were in for trouble. Smith-Rowe got the best chance of the game for Arsenal when he drove into the edge of the box but the goalkeeper was up for it as he saved it. The captain of the night; Granit Xhaka had another chance to get Arsenal back on track with a thunderous strike right inside the box, at the edge of the box but he missed just narrowly, much to his disappointment. Brentford took the game beyond the reach of Arsenal when a long throw-in bounced off the pitch and came perfectly placed for Norgaard in the 73rd minute. He wasted no time as he powered home his header into the empty net to leave Arsenal fans in pain, tears and without hope. There is a cloud of uncertainty coming from the fans with the squad and with the coach. Arsenal tried to get one back but for the brilliance of David Raya; Brentford's goalkeeper, it can't meant to be. Smith-Rowe perfectly found Kieran Tierney as he raced clear and his perfectly executed low drive pass into the box found Pepe whose brilliant strike was met by an equally brilliant save for a corner kick. The game ended with a 2-0 loss for Arsenal and Brentford sits pretty at the top of the table for now. Is there a reason to be hopeful for Arsenal? Does it matter being the start of the league? How will Arsenal navigate their fixtures with Chelsea to be played next and West Brom coming in the EFL second round cup as well as Manchester City, Norwich, Burnley and Tottenham to come after having a dent in their morale from the first game? The preseason games didn't play out well for Arsenal either because they didn't win a single game in preseason too. They only managed to draw 2-2 against Rangers. How do you feel as an Arsenal fan? Let's hear your thoughts and if you are not an Arsenal fan, do you enjoy trolling them for this loss? Let's have your view too. --- *Thank you for your time.* --- **My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.** *Still me*, >My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer. **Olawalium**; (**Love's chemical content, in human form**). *Take a dose today: doctor's order.*
