Since we hadn't stayed here in a couple years we decided to spend the night at [McMenamins Edgefield](https://www.mcmenamins.com/edgefield), a former poor farm turned hotel. Follow along as I share some photos from our stay.**</center> Walking up from the parking lot to the main entrance. ***Click images for larger view***  <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> A very stately looking old building that was built in 1911. ----- <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> A couple views looking out from the front porch. ----- The rooms are pretty basic but do contain some nice old furniture and artwork on the walls. There are no televisions or fridges in the rooms. So you will be scouring the 50 some acres of property for one of several eating places and enjoying the magnificently manicured landscaping. A large stand of bamboo. Not something you see around these parts too often. <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> ----- <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  The old tower in the center of the property surrounded by an abundance of lush greenery. More on the tower later in the post as I capture a special night picture. </div> -----  <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> Seems like a lot of effort went into creating this unique planter wall. ----- A few shots taken while walking around one of the small gardens.       <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  As I mentioned before there is a lot of art work all over the walls in this building. Here, some inlaid panels on a deck railing. Very creative in my opinion. </div> -----  <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> -----  An interesting sign post with some not so well known destinations. Are any of these places close to you? 😃 <div class="pull-left">  </div> <div class="pull-right">  </div> ----- Some brightly colored flowers and someone from the Hive. 😉   A look up toward our room. The window with the fan in it.  And as promised, the moon under the water tower.
