If you don't live in North America you don't have a clue what this is. You can't connect it with anything specific, it's just a funny word. Like flip-flops for instance or something similar. But behind these two short words, you can find centuries of history. It's an amazing atmosphere. A mixture of colors, drum beating, and singing. You can feel a strange energy floating in the air. At least that was my experience at this event. #  # Here are some details from Wikipedia: A modern pow wow is a specific type of event for Native American people to meet and dance, sing, socialize and honor their cultures. Pow wows may be private or public. There is generally a dancing competition, with many different types of traditional dances, music, and regalia, often with significant prize money awarded.
