Thanking God for his gift of life. In our today's indoctrination session, we were taught of the doctrines of our lord Jesus Christ. God listening to the prayer of a household, that is either the father, mother or the children. The book of James 5:16 It says that we should confess our sins to one another. We should also pray for one another so that we can receive healing. I learnt that the confession of sin is not said to a priest rather it is said to the brother or sister whom one has offended. When a brother sin against another, instead of making jest of him, We were advised to pray for him. This is what the bible said in James 5:16. 
 Also I learnt that there are two types of sins, " sin unto death and sin not unto death. In the church of God, we were taught not to hate a brethen who sin against us. 1 Peter 4:8 says love covers many sins. With this, it is our obligation to love our brothers and sisters in church. Psalms 32:5. Confession is unto God and the person you sinned against. Proverbs 28:13 says that if we cover our sins, we will not prosper but when we confess, We will receive mercy. We were also taught to pray for those who sin against us for God to forgive them. The bible say that the prayer of a righteous man avails much. We can see that in Isaiah 65:24. Before we call, God will answer. When we are still speaking, he will hear us. This promise is only for the righteous ones. Just like prophet Elijah prayed, and rain was withheld for 3 years 6 months. That is 42 months. God answered because he is a righteous man. Daniel 9:23, from the beginning of his prayers, the commandment already came. The prophet Daniel was a beloved of God because he was a righteous man. If we pray without sin, God will hear us, so let us examine ourselves and make sure we are free from every sin. 
We were taught that God has a house hold in heaven and on earth. It can be seen in Ephesians 3:16 and it is the household of the church of God. The household of God on earth is the church of the living God.  God does not dwell in temples made by hands, Acts 17:24. Solomon built a temple and it was called a house of prayer not a house where God dwell. The house of God which is the church of God is a house of prayer because the one leading is Christ. Christ is the high priest over the house of God Hebrew 10:21. 
 We were also taught that prayer is a doctrine. When we pray, we face the east because the glory of God of Israel came from the east and the Sun also rises from the east. It is discipline. 1 Corinthians 14:40 we should do all things in a decent way and order. So the church of God facing the east is a way of being discipline. In conclusion, when we obey God's word, our prayers will be answered.
