With Bitcoins high fees and scalability issues its becoming clear it wll be used as a store of value as opposed to being used for payments. Litecoin appears to be the perfect alternative for payments. Its lightening speed  network and low fees make it a the perfect payment solution. Charlie Lee the creator also former director of engineering at coinbase seems to be proactively pushing his coin to be used mainstream. One of only 3 coins currently on coinbase its off to a massive head start. After also being listed on revulot today along with bitcoin and ethereum making it super accessible to normal people,  its is the only one of the three  with good credentials as a good  payment method. Until recently, Litecoin payments were only possible through ShapeShift payment integration. As of today with Bittrefill you can can recharge your phone balance, send top-ups to friends and family, and buy gift cards using Litecoin.  With a gap in the market for the number one payment method Litecoin appears to me making strides of progress. Charlie announced they would be  starting a large marketing campaign aswel as securing further business aggreements. Im personally invested in litecoin since it was 24 dollars and have seen my investment rise five fold but i certainly wont be selling my coins anytime soon. In my opinion Litecoin will become massive and have huge gains in 2018 as Charlie has built a great product and also great foundations for it to become a mainstream payment method.
