Smart Entrepreneurs Always Move through the Part of Achieving Their Goals.
Motivational speakers always encourage us to have dreams, get our goals right and write them down, some people follow this pattern for a long time and nothing happens, one thing I think they did wrong is: after writing down the goals, they did not take steps to achieve those dreams.

Some very skilled and strong entrepreneurs (supposed), write down goals and for months they remain fixed to a point and they refuse to forge ahead. As much as I love the habit of setting goals, I have also learned that goals are meant to be realistic and followed accordingly, quickly take a look at this brief scenarios:

Mr A plans to become an international chef, he wants to open the largest cuisine in town where the best and most delicious foods are made, he has these goals written down and every time he wakes up he stares at the goals as he makes a wish to have his dream come through. Mr A however, has no financial capacity to open his large cuisine but his elder sister who is a little financially buoyant, wants to help him get a small place to start his cuisine. Mr A who is only driven by the idea of a large cuisine rejected the offer and told her that he will wait until he gets the means to have a large cuisine just like his goals but he also never took any deliberate step to get the finance he needed.

Mr B has the plan to one day own a shopping mall but he was a school dropout who did not have the financial support or financial capacity to finish school, he quickly got a job and he even worked on double shift on several occasions, he started saving money and after some years, he had enough to start a little business, the business grew and year after year he kept on pumping back his profit into the business and in no time, he had a shopping mall of his dream with investors.

Analysing these goal setters, their dreams seem interesting but what differentiates them is the approach taken to make their dreams achievable. There is nothing wrong in having plans or setting goals for your business but the steps taken to achieve those goals is what matters.

While setting business goals, it is important to look beyond current capabilities, the fact that you cannot afford three full meals now does not mean you cannot build a business empire the following week, you need to be optimistic about your goal and what you hope to achieve as you work towards achieving them. Never limit your goals to your present condition.

There is nothing bad in starting small, most of the successful businesses across the world started very small and with consistency, they have made name for themselves at the top.

When people around you make wishes as to how they hope to afford a better life, you as a smart entrepreneur, should know that more than setting goals, you need to take steps to achieve the type of business you want.
