Despite being an online seller, my knowledge of the internet has always merely been sufficient to achieve whatever online objective I had in mind

(the mat I bought, image: Muki Yoga Mats facebook page)

It was my birthday last month and I decided to let everyone know that I would prefer contributions to a nice new natural rubber yoga mat, which happens to be quite pricey, than odd gifts of chocolate and lotion. (Which have their place when I'm not in the market for a new yoga mat.)

I decided to search the same South African online site that I sell my goods on for the desired mat. I'm not usually much of an online shopper. I am so exposed to stuff due to the nature of our second hand business that I don't collect anything.

Anyway, back to the yoga mat. I searched and searched online for about two weeks, but could not find what I was looking for. It was my daughter and her boyfriend who discovered the online website, from which the purchase of the mat was eventually completed, and now I am happily doing yoga on my awesome new mat.

BUT now every. single. time. I go on facebook I am inundated with yoga mat ads. It gets worse, if I click on a link, say for a news website, or even in the course of online research needed for my online sales, ads for yoga mats keep on popping up. I have one, now dear internet please leave me alone!
