У многих был примитивный функционал и главное - странный вид. Далекий от образа современного человека, с кучей проводов, соединений и микросхем. Схожесть была скорее пугающая, разве что с отсылками к популярным голливудским фильмам.
Не страшные, но доверять им не хочется :)

А для того чтобы роботы стали частью жизненного процесса - людям необходимо им доверять. Внешнее сходство - то что объединяет людей на подсознательном уровне, поэтому роботам просто необходимо выглядеть подобающе.

И только 3 года назад начали появляться экземпляры с внешностью, близкой к человеку.

Помимо внешнего сходства - многие воспринимают роботом - как бездушные машины. Способностью выражать эмоции, понимать интонацию человека и учиться на общении с людьми - огромный вызов для индустрии робототехники.

И уже сейчас идёт работа над так называемыми - social robots. Роботами, нацеленными на доверительную и эмоциональную коммуникацию с людьми.

### Зачем это?

Возможности роботизации поистине безграничны. Даже если не думать о сложных задачах - вроде управления транспортом или слежением за общественным порядком. Представьте возможности роботизации даже в простых, линейных профессиях:

 Консультанты в магазинах
 Секретари на ресепшене
 Помощники за информационными стойками

Крупные компании тратят огромный ресурс не только на штат таких работников, но и так же на рекрутинг, обучение, поддержку. Отдельная проблема - обеспечить высокие стандарты общения с клиентами. Например в случае салонов сотовой связи, где тысячи консультантов представляют бренд почти в - это крайне затруднительно

В случае с автоматизацией, сбором данных и запрограммированным стандартом уровня общения - такие сложности могут перестать существовать.

**Отдельная проблема** - недостаток инструментов и знаний о самих роботах и возможностях их использования. Нужно толкать науку вперед - знакомством людей с роботами , заинтересованных в будущем, с новыми технологиями и их применимостью.
