The importance of setting goals cannot be overemphasized, however irrespective of how important it is or how crucial it is to attaining certain heights, setting a goal without strategically planning how to go about it is like pouring water into a basket, it is a fruitless endeavour.

Motivational speakers all over the globe emphasize so much on goal setting and listeners have been more interested in setting up goals without achieving them.  That's why goals are in stages, according to present conditions,  there are long term and short term goals. A major challenge is when we plan to achieve a goal that's supposed to take 2years to achieve and try to achieve it in 2months and when we don't we suffer setbacks and lack of worth.

In summary,  goal setting won't do all the job needed to set you above. It will only energize you,  make you feel good but won't produce tangible results unless you give it a strategic plan and persistently  act on it.
