### I continue my research into spontaneous line with some color and music! Each short clip contains a quick doodle drawn with acrylic paint markers using the simple rules: ***• Unplanned (no forethought)*** ***• Spontaneous/random (wherever the marker tip leads me)*** ***• Continuous (no stopping)*** An initial 1-second duration doodle is captured in super slow-motion. I do this with a single deep breathe so that my hand is relaxed during the movement. You may notice here and there that I subtly roll the barrel of the marker to adjust my angle of attack. This is immediately followed by a time-lapse segment within textures are quickly developed that relate in some way to the neighboring lines. *But no thought is given to making the shapes "look like anything".* I've added some music tracks to these three clips which I created using the GarageBand toolbox. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oqsU_3L5Ag ___ ___ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gi7CFan6WrA ___ ___ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27VcKW174i8 My brain had no time to consciously "steer" the paint marker other than to do a series of loops and zig-zags in a quick burst of movement. The main thing was to maintain contact with the paper subtrate... keeping the flow continuous for the duration of a single breath. Upon seeing the resulting doodle, I set the cam to *time-lapse* mode for the second segment. Adding some random details & textures was done within about 20 seconds but compressed by the time-lapse into just several seconds. >**I'm not sure where I'm going with this... but I find it interesting what the brain comes up with when given no time to think.**
You can see my earlier drawing demo posts [HERE.](https://steemit.com/created/orionsbeltbuckle-art) *All content 100% original by John Deecken @orionsbeltbuckle*
