Hi friends! Every year, while resting in the village, I get to know new wild plants and try to remember their names, although it always fails:) At the beginning of June, while walking around the outskirts of the village near a field with rapeseed, I noticed this cute plant growing on edge of the field These heart-shaped parts especially attracted attention. At first I thought they were leaves, but no, they are fruits.
I found out from the Internet that this is a Thlaspi arvense from the family of Brassicaceae. This is a weed that grows everywhere from the subtropics to the cold North. The plant has a strong garlic smell and taste, so young leaves can be used to make a salad. Instead, there is a lot of vitamin C and oil in the fruit.
In some countries, this slightly bitter oil is used as a salad dressing!
This plant is very hardy and difficult to remove. I liked the look of it, so I took some photos at sunset.

Щороку, відпочиваючи в селі навесні чи влітку, знайомлюся з новими рослинами дикої природи і стараюсь запам'ятати їх назви, хоч це на завжди виходить:) На початку червня під час прогулянки по околицях села, біля поля з ріпаком, я помітила оцю симпатичну рослину, яка росла на краю поля. Особливо привернули увагу ці серце подібні частини. Спочатку я думала, що це листки, але ж ні, це ж плоди.
З доповіддю інтернету дізналась, що це талабан польовий. Це бур'ян, який росте всюди від субтропіків до холодної Півночі. Рослина має сильний часничний запах і смак, тому з молодого листя можна робити салат. Натомість у плодах є багато вітаміну С і олії. У деяких країнах цю трохи гірку олію використовують як заправку до салатів! 
Ця рослина дуже живуча і їх важко вивести.  Мені сподобалась її зовнішність, тому я зробила кілька фото на заході сонця. А колись може і зроблю салат:)))*
