# A Bolt from the blue 
This particularly impressive lightning sequence is from a storm I shot a couple of night ago over London. I'm really intrigued how it seems to arc across the sky going behind, then coming out of the front of the cloud and then down to find it's final Earth strike point. That would sting a bit.  100 million Volts of pure joy. Apparently some people who are struck by lightning find that they have an everlasting and unquenchable thirst. (*Not surprising really*) and others report a boost in IQ.

### The Human Lightning Rod
One man, *Roy Sullivan* a park ranger from Virginia was reportedly struck by lightning on seven occasions and survived.. between 1942 - 1977. The second time he was hit the lightning hit a tree, bounced in through the open window of his truck leaving him unconscious and the truck came to a stop near the edge of a cliff !! **you couldn't write this stuff**
