Sales of one of Europe's largest online dealers was up fivefold for gold coins after the huge sell off in the cryptocurrency market.  The company sold almost 30 kg of gold in the spot market, this is worth $1.2 million.

 CoinInvest's Director, Daniel Marburger explains that this is due to cryptos and gold having similar qualities.  He said "Both are limited in quantity, easy to trade and you can store them decentralized, the advantage for gold - no passwords you can lose, the volatility is much lower, sustainable growth and in the end you can hold your investment in your hands".

Is this the future of the crypto market, I can understand why the huge drop in value shook many to move their investment to a more stable asset but it is too early to say a trend will form.  The are many whom will undoubtedly 'buy the dip' under the belief that this retrenchment will turn upward.  I personally feel that the cryptos will still advance but not to the levels seen in the past.  The public is beginning to see the downside of the market and will likely be hesitant to dive back into the market.
