I was sitting at my computer perusing my inbox when the email was sent. It was from the headmaster of the school, with a subject of "urgent," so of course I opened it immediately. I was at work, lunch was already well underway, and it was now or never for the day. 

The email said *"I'm afraid that I will have to let him go. He was seen picking his nose behind the oven and depositing the snot in the stew he had on the stove. I will allow him to serve lunch today. But for tomorrow, we will have to have someone else in there."* 

"What an odd email to send to the entire staff" I thought. 

I traipsed off to the lunch room, where nearly everyone was eating, and loving, the chicken stew. Students and teachers alike were wolfing the stuff down. 

I lost my appetite. 

When I returned to my desk, I saw the headmaster had sent a follow up email, with a subject of "PLEASE DO NOT OPEN MY PREVIOUS EMAIL!" 

In this email, the headmaster explained that she had mistakenly sent the first email to the entire staff, not just her deputy headmaster as she had intended.
