I have learned to turn my face in the other direction when people do things I am not comfortable with. I know we all had different upbringings; there were things my parents scolded us about and almost killed us with beatings just for us to be corrected. But no matter how much I try to turn my face in the other direction, there are some irritating habits of people that I cannot help but complain about. How on earth will a mature person walk and drag their feet on the ground? When some people are coming or passing around you, you will definitely know because of the sound from their feet. I understand when a pregnant woman walks that way because of the weight she feels on her leg, but when a young, vibrant person can't raise their legs up when they walk, it's totally annoying and disgusting. Another irritating thing people do that angers me is how people enter your sitting room with their shoes on. I understand that the whites abroad do that, but come on, we are Nigerians, and there is a lot of dirt on our roads. Do not enter my house with your shoes on. I cannot count how many times I have cautioned people to remove their shoes, mostly those that come to my house consistently. They keep repeating the same mistake over and over again. It is really annoying and disrespectful. Have you sat close to people that eat and make annoying sounds with their mouths, people that eat and litter food particles everywhere, or people that eat swallow in public, and lick their fingers every second? I really cannot stand such people. I had a relative that came to visit us some time ago. Because of her bad eating habits, I do not eat food at the same time as her because I usually end up losing my appetite. From the way she chews food, making irritating sounds with her mouth, to the licking of the cutlery or her hands while eating, or is it how messy the front of her plate usually looks whenever she is eating. I had to tell her that whenever she is eating, she should imagine that she is eating with kings or presidents. I thought that would help, but it did not. I even went as far as sending her YouTube links on the table and eating etiquette, but it still did not work. She just doesn't see anything wrong with the way she eats. Another irritating habit I see people exhibit is interrupting others while they are still talking. It is not just uncourteous, but highly disrespectful and insulting. Even if what the person who is speaking is saying is trash, courtesy demands that you allow them to air their views. I dare not interrupt others while they are still speaking, and I would not tolerate anyone doing the same to me. **THANK YOU FOR READING TO THE END 🤗**
