OmiseGO has just released their White Label Software Development Kit (SDK) for their Wallet, and reaching an important milestone on their roadmap in doing so. But what does it actually mean?

WALLET SDK RELEASE
The news was made public on Twitter by Jun, the CEO of OmiseGO:
_(source: [Twitter](https://twitter.com/JUN_Omise/status/968782593335308288))_
The release should not be misunderstood though! It's not an actually _wallet release_, but rather the release of the software development kit which you can use to _build_ a wallet for OmiseGO. So no actual, usable, OmiseGO wallet that is connected to a blockchain exists yet as the OmiseGO Plasma chain is not live yet. There are however some deployments of the OmiseGO wallet which you can set up if you have the technical knowhow, like one user on Reddit did in the video below. It's important to note that this wallet shown is not actually connected to anything, and is only the software part of it. It doesn't actually "work" yet, but provides a framework to build on and prepare.

Wallets built on OmiseGO will all have the same core functionality based on the OMG network, which allows each wallet to store any cryptocurrency (or as many as possible anyway), and directly exchanges them for others straight from out of their wallet. The OmiseGO network essentially connects every wallet to eachother, including exchanges, and allows for liquidity to flow freely and cheaply between all participants. OmiseGO is a very exciting and anticipated project, being the premiere Ethereum based project and backed by Vitalik Buterin himself. OmiseGO is developing a scaling solution for Ethereum called Plasma, which allows for millions of transactions per second and the first implementation of this new technology will be on the OmiseGO network, which itself is a Plasma side-chain to the Ethereum blockchain. Although there are competing projects with similar aims, OmiseGO stands out because of it's partnerships and chances of adoption as well. The parent company Omise is an already exciting multimillion dollar company in South-East Asia, with an existing payments network servicing tens of thousands of existing merchants, already transacting in the millions of dollars. The plan is to transfer all of this transaction volume to the OmiseGO blockchain when possible, which will create an instant-revenue stream. This revenue comes in the form of transaction fees, which are evenly distributed among OMG token holders who stake their coins. OmiseGO holds a lot of tokens themselves, and this will in fact be their main income source as well. Their existance is thus dependant on making the network, and staking nodes profitable, which bodes well for other OMG token holders.

The release of this wallet SDK will enable software developers to start creating their own wallets or integrating the OMG software into existing wallets. It's known that atleast one 'huge multinational' is developing their wallet based on the OMG SDK already and it is expected for an official announcement to be released sometime in the next few months.

_(Art by [Roy Lichtenstein](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roy_Lichtenstein))_
