It keeps their diet more varied and nutritious, and cuts down on the cost of keeping them. However, the scraps also get caught in the bottom of the cage, which prevents the manure from falling through. This is an issue. https://s9.postimg.cc/jbe6o14rj/IMG_7431.jpg So, I lacked a good tool to clean up this issue, so I went and looked in a random junk pile nearby. The man who owns the land (my neighbor) inherited the junk when he purchased the land, and piece by piece, we are cleaning it up as time, or necessity, allows. This old, discarded metal was just about perfect for the job, so I grabbed it and a few other random objects on the trip. To see more, you've got to watch the video.
