I don't know who started this challenge... was it @anomadsoul? @ocd? In reality, Hive is a new begginning! Almost two years have passed since I met this blockchain; a lot of new connections have formed, and reading some of the new intro posts I came across, it's good to know a little bit more about the people we interact with. So, although I'm not that big of a fan of talking about myself... here it goes!

**And who am I outside the blockchain?**

I'm 41 years old, and I'm from the sunniest country in Europe. If you don't know which one it is... it's Portugal!

A country filled with natural beauty, and with an amazing coastal line. Too bad about the not-so-warm water... but the landscape more than compensates!

Professionally, I'm a Veterinarian. Since I was a small child, I always loved animals, especially wildlife. Cats and dogs are my main patients, but my area of interest are exotic species, so most of my formation is in that area. So in my normal days, I can share my time with these cute guys!

Working with these animal is more demanding, but for me, a lot more rewarding too!

**What about free time?**

Sporty type. I run, I ride, I do yoga, practiced a few martial arts, and visit the gym 3-4 times a week (ok, I confess, sometimes just to visit the SPA 😂)! Oh, and I surf too! Or should I say... I try to stand on top of the board!

I love travelling. And wildlife. And nature. And if I can combine the three... bliss! I've visited 27 countries so far, and I hope the list doesn't stop growing. Adding to all the above, I love photography as well.


**And how have I ended up here?**

Almost four years ago, I started hearing about Bitcoin, mainly through a cousin that worked in the financial markets. At first, never dwelved much into it. But as I kept hearing more and more, the interest started to grow. And a little over two years back, I started reading about how in the future social networks could even start rewarding their users with actual cryptocurrencies, instead of "likes". And after a very short time, I read about Steem. And thought: "Wow! It actually exists already!". So, in April 2018, although not exactly a social media addict, I joined Steem. And from there... I kept blogging!

**What do I blog about?**

Well, for those you already know me, it's pretty obvious. For those you still don't, my posts normally roam around nature and wildlife, with the very ocasional ranting. Photography is my main focus on those subjects, here's a few that made their way to the blockchain already:
