Wrapped in Light and Shadow – Shadow Hunters

Sometimes a shadow can say more about us than a whole day of talking. One glance at the ground is enough to catch a silhouette, a gesture, a moment. That’s exactly how it felt this day. The warm light filtered through the leaves, casting patches of sunlight along the path, and I played with my shadow – like a child trying to touch the sky with the tip of a finger.

This photo was taken on a quiet park path on a summer morning. My reflection – with one hand reaching upwards – looks like an attempt to grasp the light, or to hold onto a fleeting moment before it slips away. There’s more than just the outline of a body in that shadow. There’s intention, emotion, a spark of playfulness.

I cherish moments like this – when light and shadow dance together on the earth, and I’m just an excuse to capture their motion. Maybe it’s in these little seconds that I find balance between the everyday and the extraordinary. Because sometimes what casts the shadow holds more life than what reflects it.

Otulona cieniem i światłem – Shadow Hunters

Czasem cień potrafi powiedzieć o nas więcej, niż cały dzień rozmów. Wystarczy jedno spojrzenie na ziemię, by dostrzec sylwetkę, gest, moment. Tak właśnie było tego dnia. Ciepłe światło przefiltrowane przez liście rzucało plamy światła na ścieżkę, a ja bawiłam się cieniem – jak dziecko, które próbuje dosięgnąć nieba końcówką palca.

Ta fotografia została zrobiona w letni poranek, na spokojnej parkowej alei. Moje odbicie – z ręką uniesioną ku górze – wygląda trochę jak próba uchwycenia światła lub ujęcia chwili, zanim ucieknie. W cieniu odbija się coś więcej niż kontur ciała. Jest w nim intencja, emocja, zabawa.

Uwielbiam takie momenty – gdy światło i cień tańczą ze sobą na ziemi, a ja jestem tylko pretekstem, by ten taniec zapisać. Może właśnie w takich chwilach odnajduję balans między codziennością a zachwytem. Bo czasem to, co rzuca cień, jest bardziej pełne życia niż to, co go odbiera.
