How could one be so heartless? He could have just said it simply and straight. Why does he have to lie all the time? I was complaining to my best friend, Jack.

My name is Jamila, and right now I'm so angry that I can't give much of an introduction. and that's because I'm so angry with my so-called boyfriend; he just keeps lying all the time, and I was chatting with my male bestie about it. and this was what happened. 

I texted Patrick that morning; he replied to the first text, and then he suddenly stopped replying. Well, I thought he was busy and could not text back, so I just waited for him to text, which he did not, and he had already read the text. So when I told my bestie about it, he said he might be busy and doesn't have time to text back, and that I should try giving him a call to check on him. I was angry and said I wouldn't call him until he replied to my text. I decided to let my ego down and give him a call. He picked up after several rings, and he said he was going to call me after he got home to say he was admitted to the hospital because he fainted. I didn't believe that because he said he was driving. How would someone who fainted and was just discharged from the hospital be driving?

I played along; he still didn't text me for that whole day, and I wasn't going to drop another text again. I was just busy complaining about it to my bestie when I saw a status my boyfriend's cousin posted of them being together and having cool fun. I was so angry, but I just calmed myself down and screenshotted everything for future purposes. But I was still angry because he was lying; he didn't know I already saw his cousin's post.

I was still on my own getting angry about what my boyfriend was doing when one of my friends texted me and said he's so angry and that he needs my advice, so I asked him what the problem was, and he said he tested his girlfriend and she failed it. I asked what kind of test he gave her, and he said he used another to send her a text asking to be friends with her, asking her if she had a boyfriend, and she said yes, so he asked for her boyfriend's picture, which she sent, but it was another guy's picture. At first, I was laughing because she was caught in the act. So he asked me what he should do, and I told him to talk to her about it.

But I don't really get why they would act like that. I caught my boyfriend lying to me about being sick and not being able to reply to my text, and my friend caught his girlfriend lying to him and pretending to be him the whole time. How much worse can this get?

This whole relationship issue is overrated anyway.
