## Hello Steemit!

As I said in my <a href="https://steemit.com/music/@pechichemena/fly-ren-kai-official-video-a-song-production-by-la-real-sociedad-guitar-recording-snippets">''Fly - Ren Kai''</a> post it's that time of the year where I inevitably start doing a recap of all the hits and misses I've had during this 2018 but since I choose to focus and share the positives I thought I would share a bit of this initiative that somehow has stayed ***quite alive*** all this time.

I know it's not that long but in terms of Blockchain time it does feel like an eternity :P . The <a href="https://steemit.com/coverasteemian/@pechichemena/cover-a-steemian-an-initiative-to-bring-us-musicians-closer">Cover A Steemian</a> initiative just came as an idea of bringing musicians together and helping create stronger bonds between them , also, I personally wanted to encourage a particular Steemian who had left the platform to come back after seeing he had left and I really loved his compositions. There is so much good music among the people around this place and unfortunately , a lot of talent is still going overlooked .. but , little by little , we will turn that around!

After seeing @basilmarples and @tarotbyfergus covering each other on an Open Mic just because they liked each other's music and watching how a friendship was born , I knew I would have to give this a try. I went and covered one of my favorite authors at that time and this came out :

The #coverasteemian initiative got massive support from the community and ever since then dozens of steemians have performed each other's music using this as a platform , I have been honored to have this initiative included to the official @openmic posts since as you know this is a little brother project to the Steemit Open Mic and having their support means a lot , a big thanks to @luzcypher , @soundlegion , @krystle , @meno , @verbal-d and @passion-ground. Much love your way always!

Oh .. and of course I have to give a huge shout out to my brother @passion-ground since he also gave this initiative a big boost by creating ***''The Passion Ground Challenge''*** where we had a big amount of participants covering  his original songs and some awesome musical moments happened. Thank you for that Passion , over and over :) . 

The initiative has declined a bit on the last months because of the general mood/situation on the platform but even now , some people have kept participating thus giving me a reason to keep it alive ,even if it is on a slow moment, @amberyooper , I'm looking at you ;) !
