I am happy that I am gathering the guts to dare investments in crypto. Thanks to the academic strike that has kept me and other university students in Nigeria from school. I have maximized these few months to my advantage by creating more time to engage crypto and build my blogging skills on the Hive blockchain.

I am also venturing into business opportunities that are available here on Hive. I've leant that curation using hive engine tokens is a good way to start. I started with CENT token and now I will be adding LEO to the list of tokens to power up.

After reading [this post](https://leofinance.io/@leogrowth/leo-power-up-day-is-now-a-thing-join-and-win-a-dolphin-size-delegation) by @Leogrowth, I decided to start gathering some LEO tokens in order to participate in the LEO Power Up Day (LPUD).

June 15, here I come...

Hours ago,  I swapped 9.05 HIVE to 64 LEO to make up 101 LEO. I'm saving this up and hopeful that the LEO to be earned form this post would be added and  the HBD would be used to purchase more LEO tokens.

The 37 LEO balance I had was earned from my posts on [Is POLYCUB also for the Crypto Novice and Unschooled?](https://leofinance.io/@peckypeace/is-polycub-also-for-the-crypto-novice-and-unschooled) and [My first Cryptocurrency earned - $HBD](https://leofinance.io/@peckypeace/my-first-cryptocurrency-earned-usdhbd) published about a month ago.

It is a whole new beginning for me for being able to create acceptable contents on the Leofinance community. Every single token is valuable for me and I sincerely appreciate all the curators for upvoting my previous contents as well as those that would upvote this particular post.

I am dearly waiting for the 15th of June to arrive and so that I would be able to power up my 200 LEO. I hope to keep adding my LEO stake in the future months until I reach my first goal of 1,000 LEO Power. I wouldn't know if it would be possible to reach that target before the end of the year.

This is a very dear feat for me and I hope that by the time school resumes, my entire crypto investment should reach $100 or more. I hope that would be enough to generate some amount for my upkeep while at the hostel so I relieve my parents.
