# How is this still possible?

The Ronin network, known from games like Axie Infinity got hacked for over 600 million USD worth of Ethereum and USDC. An immense amount and in my opinion this is unforgivable. These days this should just not be possible.

The explanation given by Ronin network is just not acceptable, in my opinion. Apparently the hacker found a back door to approve transactions in the name of 5 validators. But back door or no back door, the system should be water tight if you’re holding such an amount of coins on your network. Not only to protect your own business but in first case to protect your customers. 

# Exchanges warned

Exchanges, like FTX are warned that coins went their way, so they can try to identify the hacker(s). Which is idle hope in my opinion, but I can imagine that exchanges will work closely together with Ronin network to prevent the coins from being cashed out. Or at least as much as possible.

Let’s hope these kind of things are just not possible in games like Splinterlands and others on the Hive blockchain.
I just can’t imagine what the consequences for the Hive network would be… And for its price!
