Technological Dilemma - The Intrinsic Value of Smartphones
Smartphones certainly are one of the best things ever to happen to us, small little compressed technological wonder that makes our life so much easier.

At this day and age, it is almost not an exaggeration to say that many find smartphones to be at the same level of importance as essential needs such as food and water, we love our phones and will surely never give them up.

We use our phone to check emails, weather, news, social media, trading and don't forget STEEMIT; the phone is already an integral part of our life.

The phone is so useful that, when we are travelling, it constantly alerts us of incoming work emails

The phone is so useful that, when we are gazing upon the nature; notification of new app update pops up

The phone is so useful that, when we are taking a camera of a beautiful scenery; our reminder reminds us of an upcoming appointment

> well you get the point

We constantly use our phone to keep track of our lives, not knowing how much we have missed out at doing so. If you think about it, we are actually quite constraint by what we choose to be notified, reminded, alerted.

But the smartphone has severely neglected one important reminder; an appointment with ourselves. Due to the influx of unnecessary and external information that the phone has been feeding us, we have constantly ignored ourselves.

When was the last time you lied on the bed, thinking what-ifs ?
When was the last time you had a heart to heart talk with someone by the bench ?

We are so impressed by this little device, because we compare it to the past.
We are so impressed by this little device, that we thought this is all we needed.

But have you ever thought about the possibilities of the future?
What if we stop obsessing over it, and attempt to identify the most profound need of ourselves rather than a passing fancy?
