Creating Goals Creates Pressure .:. #MyHiveGoals 2022
I like when we on HIVE get inspired by each other! Exactly that happened inside one of the comment sections here... I was lucky that I have inspired @captainloken to write his post, which inspired me to write about an important topic that he started in [his post](https://peakd.com/@captainloken/achtsames-wochenende-or-mindful-weekend-24-the-butterfly-effect-de-en)!

After reading that post, I run into another one with a similar topic by @otuyanancy, where she wrote about her experience with [setting up goals](https://peakd.com/hive-153850/@otuyanancy/my-hive-goals-still-in-progress#@ph1102/re-otuyanancy-rjy41m)... And the idea for this post was born... ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Both posts, in a certain part talk about pressure and failure that can be a de-motivating factor which nobody wants to experience...

So, it's important to know HOW to set up your goals! I wouldn't say that any goal is bad in any way, but they can create pressure that some people can't handle...

The right way should be creating achievable goals that you can reach... If you have doubts about your goals (or yourself), create smaller goals for a start... Not too small, but achievable ones... When you reach them, raise the bar a little, but not too much so that you can still achieve it... When you reach your first 3-4 goals, you can shoot for some bigger ones...

To be honest, for the first 2-3 years of Hive goals that I was doing, I calculated well how much could I earn in a year if I'm active and consistent, and then I set them up... They still required my consistency and being active every day, but they were achievable... So, my action was required but that's the point, to motivate me to work on them... The numbers were just a consequence of the work... **If you are not working, you can't expect to reach your goals and you can't blame something else for your failure...**

As a matter of fact, I have a similar conversation with my teenage son... almost on a daily basis... ๐Ÿ˜ƒ He is nervous before an exam and freaks out about it... When I ask why the answer is that he is afraid of failure as he doesn't know the subject well... You can guess what was my reply... lol... Learn the subject and you will not be nervous and you will not stress about it at all... If you work for it, the stress disappears...

The same goes for your goals... If they are realistic and achievable, you work on them every day, there is almost 0% chance of failure! If you don't work on them, there is no reason to complain about failure as it is a direct result of your (not)work.... :)

So, don't be afraid, start small, and WORK on your goals... Numbers will add up and you will get there... There will be no pressure at all... Maybe a small one, but that's a good thing... just to keep you aware and to push you forward...

Let's get back to the #MyHiveGoals and numbers for the last week... Maybe a month ago, I decided to power up at least 400-500 Hive per week and the HiveStats chart looks like stairways to (heaven) the top!!!

Oh, I didn't finish my personal story about #MyHiveGoals... I said that I created my first goals very cautiously and calculated many times BEFORE setting them up... This year, I have decided to shoot high with my **Hive Power** goal and I set it much higher than I planned... I have created huge pressure on myself, but that was more on purpose, to motivate myself to push harder than ever... As I'm aware of "how I work", I knew that that will not demotivate me... Don't do that if you "work" in a different way... Some people like to work under pressure, while others snap and break... It's a personal thing and you should know what works best for you...

I have added a bit more than 500 HP to my goal in the last 7 days... Some old sell orders for H-E tokens got filled, and I use that HIVE to power up... ;)

Something that helped out in my HIVE goal is that I have reached my **LEO Power** goal during this week... Now, when I'm there, I can exchange the rest of earned LEO tokens into HIVE until the end of the month... Every HIVE counts! :) Next month, I will be back with my LEO accumulation...

There isn't too much to talk about the **WORKERBEE** tokens this week... The WB market is similar to BTC markets these days... Just a flat line without too many movements... I suppose that everyone waits to see what happens with the BEE token price...

As the **BEE token** price goes down, paying too high the WORKERBEE tokens would mean a longer period to pay back your investment... I didn't add more WB to my stake, but I did add some BEE tokens...

**GAMING GOALS**

This week, we got a new special Halloween mission in the **RISING STAR** game... It is a small distraction, but I will try to stay focused on my main goal which is collecting as many cards as possible... I will probably buy those new cards from the markets, instead of doing the mission, but I will see... I have added over 100 cards in a week, and I'm almost 1500 cards over my yearly goal... As I really enjoy the game, I will continue with my accumulation despite that I have reached my goal...

In the next couple of days, if you have staked **SPS tokens** inside the Splinterlands, you will be rewarded with GLX tokens for the upcoming Genesis League Goals game... As only STAKED SPS tokens will count, I'm still thinking about my strategy as I have unstaked most of my tokens... At this moment, I have "only" 19K tokens staked, and the rest is inside the diesel pool... Maybe I will keep it as it is and simply buy the new GLX tokens from the market (if they will be available), or just wait with liquid HIVE a month or two to deploy them into the GLX... I'm still hesitant about it...
