Looks like most of the snow has finally melted along the front of the house and flower bed is poking through nicely.  This is a great south facing area with direct sunlight all day and ambient heat from the house, its really starting to make me think i should be pushing my luck and aiming to grow some much more exotic stuff than the regular zone 3 fare.  I think i definitely need to experiment with some exciting fruit and flowers from a much hardier zone.
