**Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!** I haven´t posted any macro photos here on my Hive blog yet so let me set it right today with this little compilation of my fern close ups. Why fern? Well, because I am currently living on the **Azores Islands** and the fern is one of the most iconic and common plants here (next to, for example, the hydrangea). I have already showed you some photos of the fully grown majestic ferns that can be found almost all over the island in posts like [this one about Furnas](https://hive.blog/hive-174578/@phortun/beauties-of-azores-magnificent-terra-nostra-park-in-furnas) and today, we will take a much closer look at these fascinating plants that somehow remind me of the prehistoric era when dinosaurs were ruling the planet. ***  ***  ***  ***  *** I hope you enjoyed this little photo collection of my fern close up shots.
